Why is the Dead Sea Famous?
The Dead Sea, also called the Salt Sea, is located between Israel, Jordan and the West Bank. This body of water is most commonly known for consisting of water that’s about 10 times saltier than normal ocean water, as well as having the lowest elevation on Earth.

The Dead Sea became landlocked and due to little freshwater outflow water began to gather in the Dead Sea and due to the warm climate evaporates, leaving behind highly concentrated mineral salt.
